Children attending our Nursery benefit from an enhanced education that provides them with a firm foundation for school when the time comes.
In the process, we attain levels of success and achievement that exceed nationally-expected standards at the end of the Reception year.
As well as lessons in phonics and mathematics, the Nursery timetable also includes a wide range of enrichment activities.

THE EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE (EYFS)
Our topic-based approach allows us to cover a broad range of subjects which combine exciting free play and experiential opportunities such as creative and performing arts and STEAM activities, with structured phonics and practical mathematics lessons.
Our pupils also benefit from a stimulating Early Years garden. Exploring the outdoor environment, equipment and resources, contributes to their knowledge of the world around them and their physical development.
PLAY AND LEARN
“Play and Learn” toddler sessions on the last Friday of every month (Term Time only) for children aged 2 to 4. These sessions (from 10am to 11am) are designed especially for pre-schoolers and their parents to experience their first steps in learning and are filled with fun activities based on topics linked to the curriculum.
All children must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or other guardian.

FOREST SCHOOL
Our Nursery pupils also attend forest school where they can be found happily climbing, exploring, running, jumping, balancing and searching for insects. This is what the children call “having fun getting muddy”. We call it “hands on learning”.
Forest School provides the children with the opportunity to take on new challenges and risks, to investigate in new ways and to develop their self-belief, confidence and emotional well-being. And most importantly, it provides an opportunity for their minds, bodies and hearts to be exercised all at once.
